[SOUTHBENDLATHE] RE: How do you Test a 3-Phase Converter?

Thanks for the tips and information. I have a multimeter, but no oscilloscope.Considering where this lathe is located, 110 Volts is more available. My lathe is located in my aircraft hangar and the only 220-Volts available is by using a portable generator.

That said, generally speaking, I like to keep things Original while making reasonable upgrades with modern materials. I like the idea of the Original motor, but swapping to a more modern single-phase 110 Volt motor would seem to make more sense.

If I were to keep the current motor, how do I troubleshoot the current setup, or would it be best to buy a VF D?
