I think I have at least 100 of those. And some Iomega Zip disks (probably 50 of
those) and drives. Nowadays, for backup, we pretty much just use the same media
as we store our files on in the PC--another hard drive because storage has
become cheap. Take your used one and buy an enclosure for it and reformat it
(unless you intended to keep the files stored on it already) and now you have a
drive to back up to. Even an older non-SSD mechanical drive will work for
backups. It just won't backup or restore as fast as an SSD drive. Now they even
have thumb drives that are large enough to back up most consumers' PCs to (1 TB
and larger). And you can't beat the size.

We just have to use it so we have something to go back to if our PC's drive
quits or starts showing too many errors. You can have a great backup application
and a large amount of backup storage but it's of no use if you don't use it. And
your ability to restore is only as good as your last backup, so you lose
anything between now and your last backup made.
