When dealing with a family that knows nothing about the old stuff, just tell them that it is not worth much and if they say otherwise , walk away.

I was looking at buying some property to build a house on.  Found a spot that I was mildly interested in but the 3 families could not get together on what to do.  They decided to split the 3 acers into 3 lots. Thought they could get more that way.  They finally sold the lots a year later for less than I would have paid for all of the land.+

Please try and find a home/use for it all while you can - I am dealing with a SK situation where the family believe all that old test gear must be worth something. Very frustrating.
I am also trying museums at the moment, in the UK the History of Science (Oxford) has a collection of Marconi gear and the Amberley Museum have a fantastic collection, but both say they have enough.

I like the idea of repurposing to make radios, but as a last resort perhaps, offer them to a steampunk artist!
