For years, I had collected all kinds elec. gear - fixed a few - stored the rest until a couple years ago - that's when I started cleaning out.
However, I have to watch that I don't start saving again.

New cabinets sure are expensive compared to years ago. Then the shipping is vey expensive. I have picked up several computer cable switch boxes and built the Arduino projects in them. Always on the lookout at hamfests for boxes to repurpose for home brew.Ralph ku4ptOn Friday, June 27, 2025 at 10:29:52 AM EDT, David Crowell via groups.io <ka1edp=yahoo.com@groups.io> wrote:I have a lot of old consumer type test gear such as EICO, Heathkit, RCA, PACO, etc.One use for old test gear that is no longer usable / repairable is to use the cabinet for a home brew project.New cabinets and even chassis are way out of sight price wise.Just my 2 cents worth.Dave KA1EDP__,_._,_
