Re: [Amateur-repairs] Test 4th attempt to post, my messages to group disappear

NOTE: My apologies if this appears twice. The first one was sent via the email response address, and this one through the Yahoo site interface. Let's see which one appears! Also, I had a difficult time logging into Yahoo, and notice that fully half of the groups I belonged to once (even as dead as they were) are now gone from my membership list. I am thinking that 'Oath' has done a bit of housekeeping here...

Not necessarily true. I was the first to reply to the "Hand Tools" thread--and watching it cycle through several times:

***This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its recipients after more than 72 hours on the queue on vps25955.inmotionhosting.com.

The message identifier is: 1f9888-0007jG-MG
The subject of the message is: RE: [Amateur-repairs] Hand tools
The date of the message is: Thu, 19 Apr 2018 07:53:35 -0400

The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is:

Amateur-repairs@yahoogroups.com mailto:Amateur-repairs@yahoogroups.com
host fo-mx-groups.mail.am0.yahoodns.net [98.138.113.36]

No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up, and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.***

The last one dropped in on Monday:

**** This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

Amateur-repairs@yahoogroups.com mailto:Amateur-repairs@yahoogroups.com
host fo-mx-groups.mail.am0.yahoodns.net [98.138.113.36]
retry timeout exceeded****

So while there may be a problem rejecting 'service' emails, it looks like the system has an issue with its own email addresses given to groups. People have grumbled about Yahoo and these groups for years. Perhaps as Don, K5ZRQ suggests (once again here) perhaps it's time to move on. I have thought so for years now. Another service (ad supported) or something hosted by the group itself on a VPS.
