It's interesting that some can send via email, and others of us cannot. A notice pursuant to the 'first' message I sent and mentioned as a test appeared last night--24 hours after sending. The next will occur at the 72 hour marker. My returned message reads:
***The message identifier is: 1fBQEl-0005uB-SU
The subject of the message is: RE: [Amateur-repairs] Test 4th attempt to post, my messages to group disappear
The date of the message is: Wed, 25 Apr 2018 15:37:54 -0400
The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is:
Amateur-repairs@yahoogroups.com mailto:Amateur-repairs@yahoogroups.com
host fo-mx-groups.mail.am0.yahoodns.net [98.138.113.36]***
As a matter of note, I maintain my own mail services (Exim & Dovecot) on an Apache VPS server at inmotionhosting.com. Everything is solid from the Trustwave s/mime certificates through being continuously blacklist monitored for YEARS via MXtools with no problems. Everyone in my own domains, and the half-dozen or so I host for non-profit agencies GETS THEIR EMAIL. Except for Yahoo...
The important thing we (and especially so the site owner/admin) is that as the degree of difficulty to share information on 'the fly' increases, commensurately participation decreases. While I might respond to a "stinking tool handle" thread while going through my email--it is highly unlikely that I am going to waste time going to Yahoo and dealing with what is encountered there.
Something to think about.
