  This was good advice and the bird on an a wire analogy make the advise easily understandable.  I was able to track down the issue and the pressure washer is working great.  (a side note, this is deluxe pressure washer and heats the water up to 230 degrees.  I would not have spent two minutes on this project if it did not have the heating functionality).
