[Amateur-repairs] Test and diagnose a couple of Heathkit signal generators?

 

Hi everyone -


I obtained a couple of Heathkit signal generators, which appear not to work, even after some DeOxit.
One is an IG-102, the other is an SG-8


Right now, I'm just looking for some basic guidance on workable methods to test.
I know I should be able to receive them using a local receiver, but I wasn't sure exactly how to couple them to a receiver, etc
