Dennis, you mentioned your test bar was made in India.
  
  I have an MT5 test bar from India, awhile I'm not able to measure 
  anything better than +/-0.0001 with what I have, when I set up my MT5 
  bar in vee blocks on a surface plate and checked it with a couple good 
  quality 0.0001" indicators (Starrett & Mitutoyo) the needles just 
  twitched - well under one division.
