  Another way to enjoy/explore Linux games is Game Downloader. It's a free, portable and open-source download client that lets you download games from a list of 200+ games. For now, Game Downloader is available only for Windows, but it features almost all popular Linux games that are also available for Windows.

  Maybe as a step before trying a Linux install on a sick old computer? With WinXP losing support and not many thinking Vista was that great or maybe even Win8...
  I plan to on a spare tower and hard drive sometime soon. Right now I pulled out a Mac G4 AGP tower to test the Lubuntu 12.10 Live CD, it worked, since a friend rescued an eMac set-up from the trash, but doesn't know the password. I have no idea if a Live CD can access an OSX hard disk to change it either, but he could test it with Linux anyway.
